Implementing the Neighbourhood Plan for Englefield Green

The refurbishment of the Central Area is now underway with an expected completion date of 27th February (TBC). The work will create a lovely new heart for our village with new trees, paving, information boards, bike racks and more.

What we do

The Forum is the residents and those who work in the neighbourhood area. The Forum was designated by Runnymede Borough Council as the official body that created the Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Plan and it was ratified by the Council in January 2024.

The Englefield Green Village Neighbourhood Forum is a statutory body guided by a Steering Group comprising elected representatives of the local community who have volunteered their services.

Every resident in Englefield Green is a member of the Neighbourhood Forum and the Neighbourhood Plan is based on what you told us you wanted for our Village. The Plan is an important roadmap for the future development of our Village, it strengthens existing planning rules, provides design guidance and protects green spaces as well as our built heritage.

The Forum Steering Committee had the job of undertaking research and then drafting and submitting the Plan to the Council and now has the job of monitoring planning applications for conformity with the Plan and promoting physical enhancements to our area for the benefits of residents

Who we are

As a resident you are already a member, but we can’t communicate with you unless you register (its a privacy thing). Registering is free and everyone is warmly encouraged to do so. Once registered we will keep you informed and you can join in as much or as little as you like!
