EG Community Projects CIC
EG Community Projects CIC was formed shortly after the Neighbourhood Plan was made (January 2024) with the purpose of managing and/or carrying out Projects in Englefield Green for the benefit of residents.
A ‘CIC’ is a Community Interest Company, a not for profit organisation similar to a Company. The Steering Committee recognised that without one up it would be difficult to attract funding and instigate or execute many of the Projects suggested in the Placemaking document and the Environmental report that residents agreed would enhance the village and its surrounds.
Four directors, drawn from the Steering Committee, head up EG Community Projects and they have officially nominated the whole Forum Steering Committee to act as the management team. EG Community Projects is therefore in effect the operating arm of the Forum
